James E. Dwyer was most recently President and Chief Executive Officer of Michael Foods, Inc., an operating company of Post Holdings, Inc. In early January 2018, Jim was appointed President and CEO of a new Post operating company focused on Private Brand food products. Jim joined Michael Foods in 2009 and led the food company’s continued growth with leadership share positions in egg products, refrigerated potatoes and cheese. During that time, Michael Foods was sold twice through private equity ownership culminating in the sale to Post Holdings in June of 2014. Prior to joining Michael Foods, Jim held executive positions at a number of food and durables companies, including: Executive Vice President of Ahold USA, a division of Ahold NV; President of Global Bath and Kitchen, a division of American Standard Companies; and President of Tropicana Products, a division of PepsiCo. Jim started his career at Procter & Gamble and spent a decade at Kraft in marketing and sales. Jim also currently serves on the Board of Trustees of American Public Media and Minnesota Public Radio as well as the Marketplace Advisory Board. Jim joined the Board in 2014 and serves on the Audit and Governance Committees.


As Chief Human Resources Officer for 8th Avenue Food and Provisions, Jennifer Swanson is responsible for leading the human resources function, including human capital strategy, talent management, safety, organizational development, talent acquisition and total rewards. Ms. Swanson has over twenty years of human resources experience working for organizations including the Department of Defense, General Cable Corporation, Bristol Myers Squibb, Target and Ecolab. She was Vice President, Human Resources in multiple business segments at Ecolab before joining Michael Foods as CHRO in 2017 where she coordinated the organizational changes for the Michael Foods integration with the Bob Evans acquisition, before moving to the CHRO role with 8th Avenue in 2018.


Joe Meehan is Vice President of Sales at 8th Avenue Food & Provisions. Previously, Mr. Meehan joined Post Holdings on January 14, 2015 as Vice President of Corporate Planning and was appointed Vice President of Sales for Golden Boy Foods effective October 1, 2015. From March 29, 1999 to January 13, 2015, Mr. Meehan held various sales roles at Ralcorp Holdings, which eventually was sold to ConAgra Foods. Mr. Meehan began his career at Bake-Line Products on November 19, 1990, which later merged with Keebler Foods. Mr. Meehan holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from Creighton University with a major in Marketing.


Bob Johnson is Vice President of Product Portfolio at 8th Avenue Food & Provisions. Previously, Mr. Johnson was Vice President of Marketing at Michael Foods since 2012. Mr. Johnson’s career includes senior marketing roles at PepsiCo, Kraft, ConAgra, and Associated British Foods, as well as working as a senior consultant at Price Waterhouse. While at Michael Foods, Mr. Johnson served as a board member of the American Egg Board and is currently a member of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants.


Kirk Heissel joined 8th Avenue in July of 2018 as the Vice President of Operations. Mr. Heissel is a strategic senior operations executive with a proven track record of driving results in challenging business environments for the past 35 years. Previously, Mr. Heissel was Vice President of North American Operations for Dawn Food Products and held operations leadership roles at CSM Bakery Products and Talenti Gelato. Mr. Heissel also held leadership roles in planning and logistics, and manufacturing at Unilever and Mondelez.


John Lavey joined Post Holdings, Inc. in March 2017 as Senior Counsel for the Attune Food Group which included the Golden Boy Foods nut butter and healthy snacks businesses, and the Attune Foods granola business. As Associate General Counsel, Mr. Lavey serves as the lead attorney for all private brands business segments and provides legal advice and representation in a variety of areas. Prior to joining Post, Mr. Lavey was in-house counsel with Abbvie, Inc., and Senior Commercial Counsel with Energizer Holdings, Inc. Mr. Lavey received his B.A. from the University of Virginia and J.D. from the IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law.


Marcel Tayssoun is Vice President of IT at 8th Avenue Foods & Provisions. Most recently, Mr. Tayssoun was Senior Director of Applications with Post Holdings, which he joined in November of 2013 after its spin-off from Ralcorp Holdings. Prior to Post, Mr. Tayssoun spent 15 years with Ralcorp Holdings, which was sold to ConAgra Foods. Mr. Tayssoun has 25 plus years of IT experience in the consumer packaged goods and private label industry with a focus on integrating acquisitions and helping lead IT Transformations.
